Required Settings for Gmail or Office 365 SMTP Smart Relay

Gmail and Office 365 each require unique settings for Smart Relay Configuration.  This document describes each.


Office 365 Settings

Replace Username and Domain settings with the information needed by Office 365 to authenticate.
Port number is 587
Authentication Method is LOGIN
Use TLS is True
Use STARTTLS is True

Use STARTTLS is False




You must configure an App Password to use Gmail as an SMTP Relay server. See:

Telephony Commit


Once you have configured and verified SMTP Relay settings are functional you must do a Telephony Commit.
