Rocky 8 NTP time settings not synchronized between kernel and some applications

Summary

Services relying on ntp date/time  are mismatched or have not updated with ntp server.

Cause

Undocumented settings in chronyd can cause issues when starting the service.

Fix

Update your scopserv-server package to minimum version scopserv-server-7.9.15.10.20250506

Edit/Save Date and Time settings on Server Manager to regenerate the file /etc/chrony.conf file.

Once the file has been regenerated it is recommended to reboot the server so that all services sync their time to ntp.
