Scoptel Yealink Volume

Change on Yealink Phone Provisioning Volume settings when using Firmware 80+

We just release an update on ScopTEL Telephony package (scopserv-telephony-5.8.25.6.20151013)  that reflect changes made on Yealink firmware 80 for Volume settings.

Those patches are fully tested and resolve issues on T48G fw revision 35.80.0.70

The problem is related to this release note in version 80

Yealink Firmware 80 Release Note (See page 2)

Optimized the permitted values and default values of the sending volume in the new version of 80.

Previous releases had the following settings to default values which ScopTEL used in the APS

voice.handfree.spk_vol = 8
voice.handset.spk_vol = 8
voice.headset.spk_vol = 8
voice.group_spk_vol = 8
voice.handfree.tone_vol = 8
voice.handset.tone_vol = 8
voice.headset.tone_vol = 8
voice.handfree_send = 25
voice.handset_send = 35
voice.headset_send = 29

But Yealink has optimized v80 firmware default volume settings using a default setting = 0

The ScopTEL Phone Provisioning commits now set the supported volume options as per Yealink default recommended values:

voice.handfree_send = 0
voice.handset_send = 0
voice.headset_send = 0

Also, we now disable the Confort Noise Generator (CNG) setting on Yealink Provisioning.

MANDATORY:

If you have configured Automatic Provisioning System (APS): Phone Provisioning>Provisioning>Firmware Version: drop list = Version 80 (or later)  and you have updated your ScopTEL installation to package version scopserv-telephony25.noarch 20151016:5.8.25.7.20151016-1 you must update your Yealink phone firmware to minimum release X.80.0.70 (where X is the hardware platform of your Yealink phone).
